AFGE Local 1411 November Awareness & Advocacy: Honoring Heritage, Health, and Hope"

Native American Heritage Month
This November, AFGE Local 1411 honors Native American Heritage Month, recognizing the history, culture, and enduring contributions of Native Americans and Alaska Natives to our nation and workforce. We celebrate their strength, resilience, and leadership, and we reaffirm our commitment to equity and inclusion across all federal workplaces.

National Diabetes Month
AFGE Local 1411 supports National Diabetes Month by raising awareness about prevention, management, and access to care. With diabetes affecting millions of Americans, early detection and healthy lifestyle choices are essential. We encourage all members to prioritize their health and take advantage of available resources for screenings and support.

Lung Cancer Awareness Month
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, a time to educate and advocate for early screenings and life-saving research. AFGE Local 1411 stands in solidarity with those affected and continues to push for affordable healthcare and preventive measures for all federal employees.

Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
This month, we also observe Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month—a time to honor those who have battled this disease and support ongoing research and advocacy. AFGE Local 1411 encourages members to stay informed, promote awareness, and continue the fight for improved treatments and early detection.
